Improving Fairness among Modern TCPs by modifying CoDel

Abstract(in English) TCP fairness, which is performance fairness among TCP algorithms, is an emerging issue in recent Internet. Active packet dropping is a method for solving this issue based on RED (Random Early Detection). The method can improve TCP fairness by dropping packet. Bufferbloat is a new issue for recent Internet, and a method for controlling network delay was proposed for this issue. This delay controlling method is increasing its importance. In this paper, we propose a method for improving TCP fairness based on a method for controlling delay, instead of RED. Then, we evaluated our method and show that our method can improve TCP fairness.
