Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, performance of relay transmission system with radio-frequency energy harvesting (RF-EH) is evaluated. Relay transmission system is one of wireless communication systems, with placing the relay station between the transmitting station and the receiving station. In this study, RF-EH is introduced to the relay station. RF-EH is a method to capture the energy from the surrounding radio waves to be used as a power resource. Computer simulation is conducted to evaluate the performance of relay transmission by using MATLAB. Configuration of the system functionality and location of the relay station is determined by the setting of EH. Performance difference according to the position of relay station, impact of EH time and efficiency of energy conversion been clarified. Throughput and outage probability tradeoff at difference data transmission rate is also investigated.
