Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | To realize the fifth generation mobile communications system (5G) with super high bit rate and capacity, NTT docomo is aiming to realize super high data rate of more than 5 Gbps by using 2 streams spatial multiplexing to each of more than 8 users, with 800 MHz bandwidth and more than 128 transmit antenna elements. Although full digital Massive MIMO technology may be used in low SHF band in terms of cost efficiency, the number of reference signals to obtain channel state information (CSI) and the huge computational complexity for precoding must be reduced. In this paper, we propose Massive MIMO with digital joint processing of fixed analog beamforming (BF) and CSI-based precoding (FBCP) to reduce the number of reference signals and the computational complexity of the digital precoding in full digital Massive MIMO. Digital FBCP performs fixed digital BF instead of fixed analog BF in FBCP. The transmission performance of Massive MIMO with digital FBCP is evaluated by computer simulation. |
