Simple Interference Cancel Method for Multi-cell Coordinated MU-MIMO

Abstract(in English) Multi-cell coordination is considered as one of the effective methods to improve the cell-edge throughput. We have proposed multi-cell coordinated MIMO, in which two adjacent base stations jointly transmit signals to the cell-edge mobile terminal. Since this method stops the interference signal from an adjacent base station and instead the desired signal is transmitted from the adjacent base station, the transmission for the mobile terminal served by the adjacent base station is stopped. Therefore, it is difficult to improve spectral efficiency in a whole system. Given this background, this paper considered multi-cell coordinated MU-MIMO, in which the cell-edge throughput can be improved without any sacrifice in transmission for the mobile terminal served by the adjacent base station. As a weight control method, this paper proposed the simple cancel method for inter-terminal interference and evaluated its throughput performance by computer simulation.
