Simulation of WLAN Frame Collisions and Frame Collision Detection

Abstract(in English) A simulation system has been developed for the research and development of a prototype WLAN collision monitoring and control system. The WLAN system monitors WLAN frame collisions and reports collision information to adaptive mechanisms in WLAN transmission management. A simulation framework using two complementary simulation systems ns-3 and Netlogo has been adopted to accelerate the cycles of research and development of algorithms dealing with complex WLAN system behavior. The complementary features of these two simulation systems and their application to WLAN frame collision management are described. Typical simulation examples of rate control with feedback of collision information are presented to illustrate the simulation features.
