The Effectiveness in a Hop by Hop File Delivery System on a Network

Abstract(in English) In the HBH file delivery scheduling, files are sequentially delivered in descending order of the popularity per file size. HBH file delivery scheduling reduces the service latency per request in one link model. However, there are some problems in the network model. For example, the requested file is not always stored in the neighbor node, requests of the file arrive from different nodes at the same time, and each link is congested with different degree. The effectiveness in the HBH file delivery system on such networks has not been studied. In this study, we assume various network scales and congestion degrees, and we compare the service latency per request by using computer simulation. The result of the computer simulation shows the service latency per request reduction effect of HBH file delivery scheduling.
