Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To accommodate the increasing communication traffic on the Internet year by year, Elastic Optical Network is remarkable because it can utilize the optical frequency bandwidth in the optical fiber efficiently and flexibly. ElasticOptical Network can provide the good granular frequency bandwidth according to the required bandwidth by using OFDM technology. However it has the opticalfrequency spectrum fragmentation due to the difference of the number of the allocated frequency bandwidth in each path andthe necessity of the continuous frequency spectrum, so that the fragmentation problem causes that utilization ofthe entire networks is reduced. In this paper in order to utilize the fragmented frequency bandwidth effectively, we propose novel spectrumallocation methods by dividing the requested path into multiple sub-optical paths. Our proposed methods has two algorithms according to the priority order ofseveral conditions. We evaluated the performance of our proposed methods through simulations. As a result, we showed that they are more effective to keep low blockingprobability for entire network and to improve the average throughput than the conventional method.
