Abstract(in English) | Delay-and-sum beamformers could yield distortion-less target signals, but could not control the beam-pattern except the direction of the target signal. The weights used in a delay-and-sum beamformer can be optimized the beam-pattern using a neural network. The resultant weights by non-linear leaning cause harmonic distortion in the higher frequency range. In this study, an advanced beamformer is proposed to achieve a sharper main lobe and reduction of the harmonic distortion. The proposed method substitutes the deep neural network for the conventional neural network, and employs non-equally-spaced microphones and sub-band processing. It is confirmed that the proposed beamformer has advantage in sharpening the main-lobe and reducing the harmonic distortion over the conventional method. |
