Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes structural health monitoring using external noise. Building diagnostics using the slight vibration caused by wind or traffic noise is effective for a structural health monitoring. However, selecting the optimum length of windowing is an important key for passive diagnostics. This paper proposed a cepstrum ratio and selecting the optimum windowing length based on it. While the harmonic structure of an external noise is varied. On the other hand the eigenfrequency of a building is constant. Therefore, it is considered that the frame average and the standard deviation of the cepstrum represent the vibration characteristics of the building and the external noise respectively. Furthermore, based on the same manner of S/N, the ratio of the frame average and the standard deviation of the cepstrum is expressed as cepstrum ratio, it can be evaluated the superiority of the vibration characteristics of the building in an observed signal. From the model experiment, it was shown that the estimation error of the building eigenfrequency is decreased with increasing the cepstrum ratio. In addition, it was confirmed that the estimation error of the eigenfrequency is convergence within the standard deviation on the condition of cepstrum ratio over 0dB.
