Abstract(in English) | VHF broadband mobile communication systems have been investigated for wider coverage area than conventional cellular phone network area. The authors have proposed receiving schemes for transmitter based on ARIB STD-T103 and evaluated their BER performance by computer simulation . This standard has two PHY modes, i.e. Mode 1 and Mode 2. The difference between Mode 1 and WirelessMAN-OFDMA in 802.16-2009 is only parameters to operate in VHF band. Pilot patterns of Mode 2 is optimized for VHF band communication systems. There are some studies about experimental evaluation for Mode 1 but no studies for with high number of modulation levels such as 16QAM and 64QAM. This paper reports the results of experimental evaluation of receivers proposed for ARIB STD T-103 Mode 2 systems. |
