Abstract(in English) A Vehicular-to-Machine (V2M) communication system between roadside devices (RD) and vehicle stations (VS)has been proposed using ZigBee. However, airtime efficiency of the system is not good for delivering information from a roadside device to all vehicles by unicast. In addition, the unicast system needs to shorten the sleep cycle of roadside devices. In order to solve the issues, a broadcast-based V2M communication system is proposed in this paper. To achieve higher reliability of information delivery in the broadcasting system, two methods of ad hoc forwarding by vehicles are evaluated.
