A Spectrum Database-assisted Geostatistical Radio Propagation Estimation for Wireless Distributed Networks

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a novel radio propagation estimation using spectrum database which collects communication results from mobile terminals. The proposed method focuses on the spatial-correlation of radio propagation characteristics between different communication links. By using maximum likelihood and kriging interpolation, any-to-any radio propagation can be estimated. From numerical results, we show that the proposed method achieves higher estimation accuracy than pathloss-based estimation method. Moreover, it is shown that we can predict the probability density function of the estimation error.
