Studies on Sudoku Puzzle Based on Coding Theory

Abstract(in English) Sudoku puzzle is popular in worldwide, and it has been discussed by wide variety of researchers. In the sense of coding theory, solving Sudoku puzzle is decoding in nine array input erasure channel, and set of collect answers of Sudoku puzzle is nine array nonlinear code of length 81. This paper will primarily intended to improve understanding about Sudoku puzzle and error correction by comparing each other. Performance of nonlinear code can be evaluate distance distribution that is weight distribution for linear code. We evaluate the distance distribution, and have minimum distance four and some property. Experimental results are also discussed for communication system using Sudoku Puzzle.
