| Abstract(in English) | Panoramic images from moving pictures by a mobile camera or a self-propelled camera is useful for inside inspection of equipment where visual confirmation is impossible. In general synthesis of panoramic images requires some image processing like transportation of perspective planes, or image mapping onto 3D object models. However systems for inside inspection of equipment requires small amount of computations. In these systems, visibility rather than accuracy is important and geometrical relationship between objects and camera is known. Under these assumptions we propose a synthesis method based on concatenation of strips which are extracted from each frames with position compensation. We applied it to an escalator, the results shows the method generates images of sufficient visibility with small amount of computations. |
