Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The user downlink capacity can be improved by using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) and the multi-user scheduling which exploits a fact that the channel condition is different for a different user. In conventional macro-cell networks, the proportional fairness (PF)-map scheduling is adopted since users at different locations in a macro-cell area experience quite different channel conditions to each other. However, in a small-cell structured network using distributed antennas which is recently under an extensive study toward the fifth-generation mobile communication systems, the channel condition of a user becomes similar to each other and therefore, other scheduling schemes rather than PF map scheduling can be used. In this paper, we consider the PF-map scheduling, max-map scheduling and round-robin and we evaluate the achievable downlink channel capacity and fairness. We will show that the round-robin achieves similar channel capacity to the PF-map scheduling and that although the 90%-outage user capacity is lower than the max-map scheduling, it achieves the 10%-outage user capacity higher than the max-map scheduling. |
