Feasible Design and Development of Haptic Display for Finger using MEMS Technology

Abstract(in English) One is contact force sensation and others are vibration methods in researches of tactile display. Vibration methods are suit for slip sense. Contact force sensation is not for wearable display. Therefore, we use MEMS technology to represent high-density stimuli. We investigated the size of the finger from 100 men. We designed and developed a device which can be mounted to the finger 3DCAD software and 3Dprinter. Next, we are re-designing the five types of actuators to perform a tactile generation, evaluated for the rupture stress of Si and the displacement give to the sensory organs to change the thickness of the Si and the layers number of the PZT.
