[Poster Presentation] Space Diversity FM Receiver Using Real-Coefficient Constant Modulus Algorithm

Abstract(in English) A space-diversity FM receiver using real-coefficient Constant Modulus Algorithm (RC-CMA) is proposed. At an intermediate frequency, convolution of complex signals from 2 antennas and real filter coefficients is performed to output a complex signal. The real filter coefficients are updated based on the envelope of the complex output signal. Directivity formed by the 2 antenna-signals leads to high multipath equalization capability. Simulations demonstrate that the proposed diversity RC-CMA (DRC-CMA) reduces distortion of the demodulated signal to an undetectable level for over 60% of tough multipath environments where a single-antenna RC-CMA can not perform sufficient equalization.
