Abstract(in English) WAN acceleration technology is a technique for improving the communication performance between a terminal and a server. One of the WAN acceleration technologies is data optimization, improves the application throughput by compressing or deduplication of the data traffic even in a low-speed network. In particular WAN acceleration function which is implemented in software runs on computing device. However, processing of data optimization requires high CPU resource. Depending on the line speed, there is a case the application throughput with data optimization becomes lower than the throughput without data optimization. Therefore, we a method that improves the communication performance by dynamically selecting the data optimization, according to the level of CPU load and data reduction rate in the data optimization processing. And, we evaluated the efficiency of the proposed method.
