| Abstract(in English) | Information Centric Network is expected to deliver contents efficiently by its in-network caching. However, owing to the limitation in the router cache capacity, in-network caching might lose its ability to handle concurrent content requests thus might invite network link congestion and performance deterioration. In this paper, by taking NDN (Named Data Networking) as an example, we performed simulation studies to analyze its overload characteristics and performance deterioration mechanism. Based on these analysis, we propose new content caching and request forwarding methods that adapt to network states. Simulation result shows that they can improve NDN performance significantly. |
