| Abstract(in English) | We have developed a restaurant search system for wheelchair users and examined its effectiveness. At first, we carried out a survey for wheelchair uses to understand their needs, and carried out an on-the-spot investigation of restaurants. Next, with use of these information, we developed a restaurant search system, Superare. Lastly, we compared Superare with the existing system by an expert investigation and user evaluation methods. As a result, we found that wheelchair users needed the information of steps, stairs, an availability of toilets for wheelchair, space of the restaurant, whether a staff accepts a wheelchair user, and the height and kind of tables. The results of checklist shows that Superare is superior in usability. User Evaluation shows wheelchair users can find the restaurant they want to use. |
