Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We consider a sensor network where some applications are carried out in the target environment. In such network, actuator nodes are set to carry out applications, and information required for the applications is collected by the actuator nodes. Furthermore, by grouping some source nodes, the actuator nodes can reduce the number of packets to collect information in the network. In this study, we propose a protocol to put the relay nodes to sleep for power saving. In the proposed protocol, at least one of the relay nodes operate so that each actuator node can collect information in all time. If a node is selected as relay node from different actuator nodes, the operating time of the node will increase. By synchronizing the sensing time of source nodes between groups, it prevents decreasing sleep time of the relay node. We demonstrate in the experiment and confirm the effect of sleeping while remaining grouping performance.
