Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A large number of battery-driven sensor nodes are deployed to operate a wireless sensor network, and thus power saving of nodes is a problem of vital significance. Many routing methods are proposed to reduce energy consumption. In light of the above, if it can be known how much energy consumption would be required for sensor nodes to operate a network before deploying the nodes, it will help the insight into the energy-efficient network topology. In this report, multihop topologies are considered, aiming to formulate the energy consumption. The energy consumption for the topology employing the progress-based nearest routing is evaluated by simulation, and it is shown that the progress-based routing is more energy-efficient than the shortest path tree. Moreover, utilizing the hop-count distribution for 2D random networks, the formulation of energy consumption required for a sequence of nodes from the source to the destination is offered and compared with the simulation results.
