Abstract(in English) The National Institute of Information and Communications Technology has been conducting a research and development of a variable directional antenna technology for unmanned aircraft as part of the development of frequency sharing technology between unmanned aircraft station (UAS) and other existing satellite communications in Ku/Ka-band. The goal of the research and development is to develop a system that meets the transmission capacity of 5Mbps per aircraft UAS while sharing the the frequency of the radio relay system using the UAS with existing system. We conducted an experiment using an airplane mounting the onboad Ka band satellite communication antenna in order to confirm fully functional radio relay system, and report the results.
