Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An amoeba-inspired neural-network A/D converter was designed using a switched-capacitor circuit. Dummy unit circuits, which kept the number of the output “1” constant, were added to stabilize the circuit operation. Also, by using a redundancy in a number system with a radix of 1.7. the performance degradation due to the capacitor mismatch could be effectively suppressed. Furthermore, the m-out-of-n coding was found to be useful to obtain a higher resolution.
