Abstract(in English) | Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication systems such as smart wearables and smart sensors is being examined intently as a part of 3GPP, oneM2M, and METIS. In these communication systems, the terminals are fixed and the environment is Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS), and the propagation takes place in quasi-static flat fading environments. Frequency offset transmitter diversity with frequency beatings of received signals avoids continuous disconnection in quasi-static flat fading environments. However frequency offset transmitter diversity requires the offset distance because of low correlation between the branches. In this paper, we propose the polarization frequency offset transmitter diversity based on the propagation mechanism of polarization changes. This method can avoid setting the offset distance between branches. We evaluate the proposed method by computer simulations and show the improved performance of PER. |
