Ultra Wide Band-Impulse Radio Using MIMO technology for Optical Fiber-Wireless Links

Abstract(in English) We have proposed a combined fiber and wireless link system using Ultra Wide Band-Impulse Radio (UWB-IR) for Access Point. However, the wireless transmission distance is limited to a few meters by low UWB power level. And, The wireless transmission rate as well as transmission rate of other wireless communication is limited, also. In this paper, we examine the improvement in quality achieved using 2.5 Gb/s UWB-IR MISO, and show via simulations and experiments that communication quality is improved and it enabled beam forming to use a phase shifting device. In addition, we investigate the possibility of 5 Gb/s UWB-IR ZF-MIMO. As a result of simulation, signal 1 and 2 achieved Q > 3 at the time of SNR>-8[dB].
