Development of Generation Method of Anaglyph Images without Ghost Artifacts based on Saliency and Local Warping for Objects

Abstract(in English) Anaglyph is one of methods of stereoscopic image which can create the illusion of depth using 2-dimensional image. However, the image quality as the two-dimensional image is deteriorated by the ghost artifacts when we observe any anaglyph image with naked eyes. We propose a method to reduce the ghost artifacts considering object arrangement information. Moreover, the proposed method implements processes in consideration of human sensitivity by using a saliency and transform for each object units using local image warping. It is seen in the experimental results that the proposed method can reduce the ghost artifacts remaining the three-dimensional visual effect compared with the conventional methods.
