Effect of Audio-Visual "Shikake" on Store Visiting Behavior

Abstract(in English) Previous studies on the effect of POP (Point-of-Purchase) advertisement mainly focused on customers' "purchase" behavior. In this paper, we investigate the effect of POP on customers' "store visiting" behavior. We conducted an experiment with two types of POPs: 1) a POP with a movement and a sound, and 2) a static and silent POP. We observed the behaviors of passers-by, and revealed that a group with a girl, tended to increase the possibility of store visiting behavior.
