Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, we discuss the multi-conductor transmission line modeling to calculate transmission characteristics of automotive wiring harnesses simply, for high and wideband frequencies. In order to make an equivalent circuit, we propose approximation formulas of the per-unit-length RLGC parameters derived from the cross-sectional shapes of the lines, composed of n dielectric coated wires, which have a variety of inner conductor radius and outer insulator thickness. In addition, we investigate the Mode-Decomposition Method and the State-Variable Method to solve Telegrapher's Equations of multi-conductor transmission lines and to get ABCD matrices of the lines. Moreover, we applied this modeling to two cases of lines placed above the reference ground plane; one is composed of two wires which have different thickness, the other is of three wires whose height reference to the GND plane is continuously changed, then it is confirmed that our proposed modeling is able to apply for various cables.
