Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In recent years, design-oriented thinking is attracting attention among researchers as an effective means of bringing about innovation. This is a human centric mode of thinking and is most effective when the target customers and achievement objectives are clearly defined or definable. On the other hand, when the target customers are obscure and goals are unclear or only vaguely defined, design-oriented thinking may not be as effective and art-oriented thinking is proposed to replace it. In the proposed panel, we will try to compare and contrast these two opposing modes of thinking in terms of creativity and innovation. |
