Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The present study investigated audiences' gaze while appreciating an audiovisual musical performance using a non-invasive eye tracker. We examined the following hypotheses. H1: participants direct visual attention toward singer singing melody part. H2: gazing interactions between singers attract participants’ visual attention. By manipulating singer's musical parts (soprano/alto) and gazing interactions between singers, we created stimuli. We measured and analyzed participants’ gaze points while watching the stimuli. The results supported both H1 and H2.
