Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Ultra wideband (UWB) low band is a candidate of the frequency band in implant body area networks (BAN), where reliable communication links should be established between inside and outside of a human body. UWB communication can accomplish low power and high data rate, because it employs wide frequency band. However, due to the use of several GHz frequencies, the UWB signals suffer from large attenuation in the implant communication, which makes it difficult to achieve a reliable communication link. Therefore, in this paper, with the aid of easy miniatualization of antenna, we design a diversity antenna for the implant UWB communication. Then, we evaluate the antenna characteristics (reflection and coupling) and pathloss performances through computer simulations and experiments.
