Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to avoid data frame collisions, a media access control method based on synchronized phenomena of coupled oscillators (SP-MAC) has been proposed. Moreover, in the infrastructure mode of wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs), SP-MAC can improve a total throughput of all terminals by avoiding the data frame collisions. Here, it is usually difficult to communicate over the infrastructure mode in case of disaster. In this situation, an ad hoc mode WLANs can be used because it is independent of the network infrastructures. In the ad hoc mode of WLANs, multi-hop communication is used, however, the characteristics of SP-MAC in the multi-hop network is unclear. This paper evaluates the performance of SP-MAC over the multi-hop network using the network simulator ns2.
