Abstract(in English) | Purpose of this study is to develop the method for automatic detection of periodic discharges (PDs) appeared in EEG in the intensive care unit (ICU). Characteristics of recorded EEGs such as amplitude and waveform pattern are different for respective subjects. Therefore, appropriate determination of threshold values is essential for achieving the accurate detection. The database of parameters for detecting PDs was obtained for each subject. Then thresholds values were determined based on the distribution of histograms. Proposed method was applied to the recorded data in the accuracy ICU and its accuracy was analyzed. Relationship between mean amplitude of whole EEG and parameters for detecting PDs were also investigated. |
