Abstract(in English) Neurosurgery simulator using virtual reality technology becomespopular for surgery training and medical education. However, surgery planning based on patient-specific models is still challengingbecause of difficulty in automatic finite-element-mesh generation. To solve this problem, we have been developed a mesh generation algorithm basedon segmented medical images. In this paper, an evaluation of our meshgeneration algorithm in 2D coordinate system and its applicationexample to interactive soft-tissue deformation simulation will bepresented.
