Abstract(in English) | Deposit of amyloid beta (Aβ) caused Alzheimer disease (AD). Very early diagnosis of Aβ deposit is expected to an effective AD diagnosis, and it in realized by a periodical PET amyloid imaging. A quantitative Aβ imaging with PET requires a delineation of a reference region. The manual delineation suffers from low reliability. Accordingly, this study aims to propose the automated algorithm. That utilized a time history of an administered radiopharmaceutical in tissues. 86 clinical images including Aβ-deposit positive, equivocal, and negative were applied to the algorithm. Reference region were successfully delineated to 68 cases And, the others were successful after retrying and changing inputted images to the algorithm. Estimated binding potentials, a quantitative index on Aβ deposit, using the proposed algorithm were correspond with those with a conventional method. We conclude that the algorithm in useful for a reference region delineation. |
