Abstract(in English) PET is a high sensitive imaging system that detects pairs of gamma rays emitted from positron emitters. Compton imaging is a method to obtain directional information of single gamma rays by measuring scatterer and absorber. We have proposed a Compton-PET imaging system composed of DOI-PET and scatterer ring insert in order to realize simultaneous imaging of PET and Compton imaging. In this paper, we discuss the feasibility of Compton-PET imaging system using a Monte Carlo simulator. We evaluated sensitivity and spatial resolution with respect to the positron emitters by changing the material and the diameter of scatterer ring. As a result, the Compton-PET had higher sensitivity than PET only sensitivity. High spatial resolutions of both PET and Compton can be realized by using Si as the scatterer material and making scatterer ring diameter small.
