Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we evaluate the performance of our previously proposed protocol, specifically a hybrid DCF/TDMA QoS scheme for ad hoc networks, by comparing the protocol with pure TDMA approach. The QoS scheme provides QoS by combining TDMA and 802.11 DCF. TDMA period provides contention free transmissions for QoS flows, and DCF period is used to provide contention-based access for best effort or low priority flows. In DCF period, frames are transmitted without disturbing the TDMA period. We conduct simulations with Qualnet simulator in various traffic conditions and show the advantage of the protocol as compared with the pure TDMA approach and 802.11e.
