Array-antenna-electrode electro-optic modulator for millimeter-wave wireless links

Abstract(in English) Recently, millimeter-wave wireless communication systems have been studied and developed. We have proposed and developed various array-antenna-electrode electro-optic modulators for radio-over-fiber technique. In this report, we report on the array-antenna-electrode modulators for next-generation (5G) millimeter-wave wireless communication system. At first, a method of controlling the directivity is presented, and a configuration for receiving and discriminating the multi-beam millimeter-wave signals is shown. Next, the fabrication and evaluation of array-antenna-electrode modulators with 16 elements are mentioned. In addition, the experiment for millimeter-wave wireless links using the fabricated device is reported.
