Abstract(in English) Millimeter-wave wireless communication systems need many cells to cover a wide area because the cell size is smaller than one of conventional systems that use microwave band. By using Radio over Fiber (RoF), Access Points (APs) can have many geographically distributed antennas, and the total installation cost of the system can be reduced. However, in cases that channels are assigned to the cells statically, traffic loads may concentrate to specific APs. In this paper, we propose a channel allocation scheme that equalizes the number of users per channel and reduces the chances of handover on the basis of geographical distribution of users. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves the fairness of throughput in comparison with conventional schemes.
