Abstract(in English) | Public safety networks are desired to meet increasing needs for sharing images or videos among dispatchers and fast responders. Public safety LTE (PS-LTE) is considered a solution to realize such communication. However, in the case of a disaster or a big sporting event, the traffic suddenly increases sharply as the number of active public safety users increases. To enhance system capacity of the PS-LTE, this report studies radio resource allocation of Device-to-Device (D2D) communication which allows resource sharing among non-neighbor D2D users. A proposed method gives priority of resource allocation to D2D users that have low average throughput but satisfy the sharing condition. Simulation results reveal that the proposed method can increase the number of users that can satisfy a throughput requirement for video transmission. |
