Abstract(in English) Advanced modulation formats have been employed to increase transmission capacity and spectral efficiency in optical fibers. In such spectrally efficient networks, flexible all-optical conversion between different levels of multi-level modulation formats will be expected to improve utilization of fiber's spectral resource and to suppress power consumption in network nodes. The authors have previously proposed all-optical modulation format conversion system from QPSK to BPSK using FWM, in which the performance depends on the incident signal's polarization angle. In this report, we introduce a polarization-diversity configuration being able to apply to arbitrary signal polarization angle and report the results of performance verification by numerical simulation.
