Abstract(in English) This paper discusses field evaluation results of inaudible frequency band ultra-sonic acoustic communications in JR East station environment. JR East supports station acoustic broadcasting systems for passengers and station staffs. This paper proposes inaudible frequency band acoustic communications (IFAC) using these station acoustic broadcasting systems. The proposed IFAC can support information broadcasting services for stations staffs without introduction of additional equipment and/or inconvenience for passengers. Finally, using JR Yoyogi station’s acoustic broadcasting systems, this paper reports field evaluation results of the proposed IFAC, i.e., channel sounding results and bit error rate (BER) performance of single carrier modulation scheme.
