Abstract(in English) A wideband pentagonal patch antenna using FR-4 substrate had been proposed by the authors. A 4 x 4 pentagonal patch array antenna is investigated in the paper. Calculated and measured frequency characteristic of S-parameters matched well with each other. Reflection and isolation of the array antenna are -8 dB and 20 dB, respectively. It was also confirmed that the change of group delay is not large in UWB band.
