Secure Service Personalization Method based on Mobile Agent

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a method to personalize services byintroducing sandbox as an agent workplace in which a mobile agent canaccess to personal information of users but the agent cannot sendanything to outside of the sandbox, and also we provide a design ofthis method. For instance, we place the agent workplace in a sitewhich stores personal information. In the workplace, all agent actionswhich access to external resources are disabled. When a service providerwant to personalize its service, the service provider creates anmobile agents which has data and procedures to customize the service, and send the mobile agent to the workplace. Then the mobile agentaccesses to personal data, customizes the service data and finallysend the customized service data back to the service provider. In this paper, we show usefulness of the proposed methodthrough experiments using an prototype system.
