[Poster Presentation] Experiment Evaluation of a Data Transfer Mechanism Using Autonomous Clustering in MANETs

Abstract(in English) A Mobile Ad hoc NETwork(MANET) is a wireless network that consists of mobile nodes. In the MANET environment where the node density is low, it is not easy to establish a route between nodes. Epidemic Routing has been proposed for such MANET environment. However, in Epidemic Routing the total-overhead in the network becomes higher because the number of data packets increases. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a scheme that combines Epidemic Routing and Autonomous Clustering in order to mitigate amount of overhead in network. Autonomous Clustering is a scheme to divide the network into subnetworks(Clusters). The proposed scheme uses a Store-Carry-Forward Data Transfer mechanism by Clusters, and it transfers the data packets to a destination node from a source node. As a result, it is confirmed that the proposed scheme could mitigate the overhead, and realize reliable data transfer through simulation experiments.
