A Study on Effective Resource Allocation Method to Virtual Network with Service Accommodation Degree

Abstract(in English) Recently, with the progress of network virtualization technologies such as NFV (Network Functions Virtualization) and SFC (Service Function Chaining), the service providers are providing their services by creating virtual networks on the carrier network. In this paper, for the purpose of many services accommodation, we propose the effective resource allocation to virtual networks which have various demands. The proposal method adopts a new index called “Service Accommodation Degree”. In our method, the virtual network is allocated the resources along the path which has the maximum service embedding degree among the candidate paths in the residual network. The residual network is constructed by residual resource after allocating the resources to virtual network. The service accommodation degree indicates how many virtual networks can be newly accommodated in residual network. Finally, we show the effectiveness of our method by comparing with the conventional methods.
