Abstract(in English) | In this report, we propose a method for recognizing positions of vehicle groups. In the proposed method, connected vehicles share surrounding vehicles' relative positions detected by those connected vehicles' range sensors via inter-vehicle communication. By composing those pieces of information into a single view, each of the connected vehicles can recognize the vehicle groups ahead, which cannot be recognized standalone. By utilizing the distance information obtained from two different information sources, the correct relationship among neighboring vehicles can be obtained. We have conducted a preliminary experiment to confirm the effectiveness of the approach. |
