Abstract(in English) An electro-optic modulator integrated with rat-race circuit, which operated 180-degree hybrid was considered for frequency chirp modulation. The rat-race circuit of 4.5:1 power split ratio designed at 10 GHz on a single LiNbO3 substrate was directly connected with modulation electrodes of the dual electrode type modulator on a substrate. The modulation operation was confirmed by the experiment. Moreover, we directly measured the chirp parameter by using the chromic dispersion of the optical fiber. The chirp parameter of the modulated light at 10 GHz was estimated at 0.47.
