300-GHz FM-CW radar system by radio over fiber technique

Abstract(in English) We demonstrate FM-CW radar system in 300-GHz band, which has possible broad bandwidth in radio domain, by radio over fiber techniques. An optical frequency comb generator configured with optical modulation technique is utilized as a frequency multiplier with a multiplication factor of 12. FM-CW signal at a center frequency of 300 GHz with a chirp bandwidth of 12 GHz is generated by the frequency multiplication with a microwave FM-CW signal source. Radar operation is also evaluated using a radio frontend in the terahertz band.
